NAMM 2018: ZOOM H1n - Portable, High-Quality Stereo Recording
The new Zoom H1n Recorder is the latest update to the popular Zoom H1 Recorder, and features a brand new user interface and LCD display making it even easier to use. The Zoom H1n can capture true stereo recordings with its built-in X/Y microphone configuration. It writes to both WAV and MP3 formats on microSD and microSDHC memory cards, and the new one-touch controls make setting up a new recording an incredibly simple process.
The H1n is the ideal unit for musicians on the go, students wishing to record lectures, journalists, and anyone else who needs a simple to use yet pro-quality audio recording device. The platform now features a more rugged microphone enclosure and brighter LCD display for outdoor use.
The Zoom H1n's quality X/Y condenser microphone capsules capture an immersive sound field with accuracy and depth. It records at up to 24-bit/96 kHz for a true representation of what you're listening to. The highly portable nature of the H1n makes it comparable to a mobile phone sized device, where it provides a significant upgrade to your audio fidelity and user experience.
The H1n features one-touch operation controls, but for users who wish to delve a little deeper it has a range of options to get the best recording and editing possible. A limiter and auto-level let you quickly set the microphone input signal, while a voice emphasize filter and playback speed are perfect tools for transcribing.
Unlimited overdubbing also allows you to add additional layers of audio; ideal for songwriters. Auto-record, pre-record and a self-timer help with getting the perfect performance. The H1n is battery powered and records to microSD and microSDHC. It has a range of jacks for external microphones and headphones.
The H1n comes with Cubase LE music production software and Wavelab LE audio editing software; meaning that musicians, transcribers, and producers will be able to capture, edit, and arrange audio straight out of the box. This is the ideal device to keep stored in your bag for whenever inspiration strikes, and for when your mobile phone audio recording just won't deliver the quality you need.
