NAMM 2018: Yamaha Stagepas Portable PA System Now Has Bluetooth
Yamaha certainly isn't looking long-in-the-tooth - the new Stagepas PA 400 and 600 BT now has Bluetooth capability
Yamaha's new Stagepas 400iBT Portable PA System is an upgraded version of a hugely popular and convenient little PA system. The Stagepas is designed to be an all-in-one unit; letting users get connected, mixed, EQ'd, "FX'd", and amplified in one grab-and-go package. Simple.
The upgraded Stagepas 400BT and 600BT both offer Bluetooth connectivity so now users can stream music wirelessly. This capability expands a system that already includes Yamaha's state-of-the-art DSP, and "comprehensive suite of onboard features", giving you an even wider range of uses for this loudspeaker setup.
The Stagepas portable PA system includes a mixing desk and two speakers. The mixing desk has 4 mic preamps to get connected and an additional 4 or 6 channels of stereo audio. A handy SFX Reverb is included to add a nice ambience on vocals and instruments, while the 1-knob master EQ provides the final 'polish' on your sound.
The clever design of the Stagepas means the Mixing Board slots easily into one of the speaker recesses; this is ideal for musicians and performers who want an easy load-in and load-out.
Another (very handy) feature for live musicians is the built-in feedback suppression, so you can minimise those unwanted howls and microphonics without needing a separate sound engineer. If you need some additional speaker capabilities, the Stagepas has an extra monitor and subwoofer output for those who need an extended frequency response; perhaps a DJ who wants a thunderous bass.
The original Yamaha Stagepas was popular with small groups, solo musicians, intimate venues, and with users who needed a large degree of portability to get setup up and packed down in as little time as possible. The upgraded Stagepas adds wireless music playback into this compact package, and now makes the system even more versatile. If you need easy-to-setup background music, or like to play along with backing tracks, now you can easily stream sound from your phone or tablet.
The two systems offer 400 and 680 watts, with 8'' and 10'' speakers, respectively. With everything included in one package, all you need to do is grab your microphones, instruments, or phones and tablets and quickly get plugged in and playing.
