NAMM 2017: New Jody Jazz Super Jet Saxophone Mouthpieces

Innovative Savannah, Georgia based sax and clarinet mouthpiece manufacturer Jody Jazz have announced an exciting new series of sax mouthpieces at winter NAMM 2017.

The Super Jet series is specifically designed for funk, rock and jazz players. It’s state of the art design and silver plated virgin brass construction allow for maximum power and create a bright tone that is perfect for a smooth jazz playing style.

According to Jody Jazz founder and company director Jody Espina, the Super Jet is “a very contemporary sounding mouthpiece with many characteristics we have not offered in our range up until this time. It’s going to give you more power, more edge and more altissimo. But as with all of our mouthpieces it is beautifully free blowing with enough bottom in the sound to make it more versatile than many mouthpieces in this category of small chamber pieces. The Super Jet also features a shorter facing curve for insane altissimo.”

Epitomising the craftsmanship and attention to detail that Jody Jazz are known for, the Super Jet features a hand-made baffle and thin tip rail and side rails for precision response. As with all their products, each Super Jet mouthpiece is individually gauged and tested by the expert players at Jody Jet HQ.

Initially available as an alto model, this ground-breaking saxophone mouthpiece comes in size 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 tip openings.

Already garnering much attention at this year’s NAMM event, the Super Jet series is available to order from Gear4music.com now.
