NAMM 2017: Aston Reveal Starlight Laser Targeting Mic

Aston Starlight
Aston Starlight
Setting a new precedent in Microphone technology, British brand Aston have launched the world's first laser targeting pencil microphone at NAMM 2017. The inbuilt laser technology in this ingenious device allows recall of mic position in studio use and promises to make long and laborious mic setups a thing of the past.

The integrated class 2 laser pointer with on/off switch mean that mic positioning can be prepared in advance, speeding up the sound check and ensuring a consistent sound is achieved time after time.

Sound quality is at the heart of the Aston Starlight . The internal circuitry is built with the highest quality components and is fine-tuned to ensure maximum sensitivity and low noise, giving the maximum headroom possible. The mic's output stage boasts a higher output level, meaning that the preamps work on a lower gain, creating less distortion and a clean, detailed sound.

The built in voice switching of the Starlight offers three different operation modes, each with it’s own unique character and tone. You can choose between Modern, Vintage and Hybrid filter settings at the flick of a switch, meaning that you get the perfect sound, whatever your application.

Featuring a robust sintered metal head and sleek 1.5mm solid stainless steel chassis, complete with Aston signature finish, the Starlight is not only strong, but it looks great too.
