Muse looking to get creative with new studio album
The hit band told Kerrang! that they were looking to do something "radically different" with the follow up album to their seminal 2009 record The Resistance.
Chris Wolstenholme, bass guitarist in the band, said the band "feel like drawing a line under a certain period of what we've done in our career".
"It feels like it's time to move on and do something radically different," he added.
This isn't going to be a simple process, he admitted, as it is easy to fall back into what you know best.
"You could get into the studio and go back to what you're comfortable with," he told the magazine.
"You get in the studio and there's a natural process and you have to see where a song will take you."
Muse have so far released five studio albums, including Showbiz, Origin of Symmetry, Absolution, Black Holes and Revelations and The Resistance.
