Lady Gaga sued for profiting from charity wristbands
Lady Gaga has been accused of profiting from the sale of her We Pray for Japan wristbands, which went up on her website with the claim "all proceeds go directly to Japan relief efforts".
Gaga has been served with a lawsuit by a Detroit-based legal network who claim that she used a "deceptive advertising campaign" and a "pattern of racketeering" to illegally accrue funds.
The prosecutors believe that the singer and her team not only kept a proportion of the $5 (£3) wristband, but added extra postage costs to "pocket more money".
