Kanye West and Jay-Z choose AKG microphones
AKG microphones have become the product of choice for major hip-hop artists when performing live.
The company has supplied equipment to Kanye West, Jay-Z and Missy Elliott for performances in a variety of venues over the past two years.
West used a wireless AKG microphone and in-ear monitor system during his global Glow In The Dark Tour, on the recommendation of his sound engineer.
Jay-Z, who according to press reports will play at the Brit Awards next year, also opted a wireless microphone system from AKG for his The Blueprint 3 tour in North America, as well as for smaller televised performances.
Get Ur Freak On star Missy Elliott chose the manufacturer when she wanted a handheld microphone for an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman.
Alfred Reinprecht, AKG's vice president of marketing and product management, said the number of stars using its equipment had made it a great year for the company.
He added: "We have worked closely with artists and audio engineers to ensure that our products meet and exceed expectations for everyone who uses them."Posted on 24 Nov 2009 11:59 to category : Instruments News
