A band who are just as likely to be associated with their extensive range of merchandise than their music, KISS's expanse of products range from pinball machines to KISS Kasket coffins. Perhaps more suitably known as a brand rather than a band in today's current musical climate, KISS continue to rake in a hefty revenue; with Simmon's alone owning 2,500 independent licenses to date. Among some of the bassist's most recent projects include the KISS golf course in Las Vegas, hit reality TV show, 'Gene Simmons' Family Jewels' and his KISS coffeehouse in Myrtle Beach.
Talking about the future of KISS, Gene Simmons stated that he had no current plans to work on a new album stating:
" It's just tough to find the time to sit down for six months and do nothing but a record. I'm not inclined to go out there and work your ass off making something you're proud of and then to have everybody steal it and download it and file share it. That's not for me. "
Band vocalist and guitaristPaul Stanleyalso ruled out the possibility of former guitarist Ace Frehley returning to the band, putting to bed a myriad of rumours concerning the stringsman's imminent return over the past year.
KISS have a number of tour dates lined up in the near future. For more information click here
