Jeff Waters reveals his guitar heroes
Jeff Waters has revealed which musicians have inspired his guitar playing style.
Waters, who was named in the top three in Joel McIvor's recent book The 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists, told the Gibson website that in his eyes, there are three key abilities that make up a great guitar player.
He stated these are rhythm guitar playing, lead playing and songwriting.
"The picking of Hanneman/King of Slayer, Hetfield/Hammett of Metallica, Mustaine of Megadeth and Holt of Exodus were the inspiration for my rhythm guitar playing and picking style," he said.
His band have recently been confirmed for a series of festival dates across Europe this summer.
They will play gigs in France, Sweden and the Czech Republic, as well as co-headlining the Kaliakra Rock Fest 2010 in Bulgaria.Posted on 14 Apr 2010 09:30 to category : Music News
