Gibson assembles soundtracks for autumn
Electric guitar manufacturer Gibson has compiled a list of songs to get people in the mood for autumn.
The list was headed by Neil Young's 1992 track Harvest Moon, an acoustic guitar-based track that uses the autumn moon to "reflect on enduring love".
The Mamas and the Papas' enduring hit California Dreamin' was also included, partly due to its direct reference to the time of the year in its lyrics.
This was followed by U2's October, which Gibson said used the changing of the seasons as a "metaphor for change".
"Since the arrival of the Beach Boys summer music gets all the heat, but every season has its own soundtrack," Gibson observed.
This comes as Sting releases a seasonal album entitled If on a Winter's Night..., which features his interpretations of traditional songs, carols and lullabies.
Two original compositions from the rock musician, who made his name playing bass guitar in The Police, are also included on the record.
