Gibson 2019 Guitars: "I would say it’s not a radical shift but we have [made] a lot of effort to simplify product offerings…" Henry Juszkiewicz : Gibson CEO

Since Summer NAMM 2018, we've been anticipating the 2019 Gibson guitar line-up with baited breath. During summer 2018, we were offered an insight into Gibson's 2019 range and this exciting crop of products showed us exactly why Gibson is still one of the biggest brands in the industry. Gibson's 2019 range of guitars is finally available to view and we can't wait to see them in person!

Having spent months on product development and player feedback, Gibson has sought to simplify its guitar ranges and give musicians exactly what they want.

In an interview with Music Radar, Henry Juskiewicz (Gibson CEO) said, "it’s not a radical shift but we have [made] a lot of effort to simplify product offerings. We feel, in the past, there have been too many new models and names and it was very confusing to the consumer, and so we’ve simplified that, we’ve really simplified and gone back to historical naming precedents.”

The Gibson brand is built on a deep heritage, and this return to simplicity for 2019 should prove to be a very popular decision. With models sold at various price points, in both modern and traditional guises, there should be a Gibson guitar for any preference.

“We’ve done a lot of work on those models for eight months, so it is not something that has been impacted by our financial situation, and we expect to carry through on those plans. We’ve had excellent reception from the consumers we’ve surveyed on test panels and so on, and many of the dealers have seen these new models and been very complimentary."
