GarageBand '09 at Lims
Technology giant Apple is to host two seminars at the London International Music Show (Lims) next month to showcase GarageBand '09, the exhibition's official blog has revealed.
At 14:30 BST on Saturday June 13th and Sunday June 14th, visitors to the Apple stand will have the opportunity to get to grips with the music creator software, which comes free with new Mac computers.
The Lims blog stated that Apple is "leading the revolution" when it comes to helping people learn music, with its Learn to Play function "allowing budding musicians to learn, practice, jam and record in the same environment".
Now in its fifth incarnation, the latest version of GarageBand has a number of new features for the electric guitar, including virtual amplifiers and a virtual stombox pedalboard.
However, it still has several restrictions, including limited support for MIDI instruments, a key feature of advanced music production and recording software such as Cubase.
