Roland has announced two new additions to its Future Redefined line-up this Summer. This time it's all about guitarists...

Roland Blues Cube British EL84

The 1st of these new additions is a special edition release of Roland's famous Blues Cube, the 'Blues Cube Hot British EL84 Modified Guitar Amplifier'. Completed by its undeniably sleek black finish, the amplifier takes the American tweed sound of the original and retunes it into a British combo furnished with iconic EL84 tubes. Referred to as the "class A sound" the British EL84 amplifier embodies the iconic overdriven sounds of the most esteemed British guitarists. Working with 30 watts of power and a custom built a 12-inch speaker, the Blues Cube British EL84 is an irrefutable workhorse, offering itself as the perfect amplifier for practice, recording and performance.

Utilising the cutting-edge technology that has made Roland a household name amongst old-school valve amp enthusiasts the world over, the Blues Cube Hot British EL84 Modified Guitar Amplifier's Tube Logic design ensures an accurate and honest recreation of tones. Featuring a single-channel configuration on the amplifier ensures complete ease of use and a reassuring sense of simplicity when dialling in your sound. With an onboard three-band EQ, reverb and two separate boost and tone switches, you can confidently flitter between the different settings to achieve a sound that best suits your needs.

For those who wish to control their amplifier remotely, the EL84 comes fitted with several footswitch jacks, inviting easy operation within a fast paced live-environment. Also featuring USB connectivity, you can connect to your favourite DAW and record your guitar without any degradation of the original tone often experienced with many modern 'cab simulators'.

BOSS MS-3 Multi Effects Switcher

Also announced today was the BOSS MS-3 Multi Effects switcher, a brand-new and innovative pedalboard solution designed to heighten the creative potential of gutiarists and bassists alike. Containing the BOSS' flagship multi-effecs engine and multi-pedal switcher, the MS3 enables players of any ability to assemble an industry-grade effects system capable of their favourite sounds.

Able to manage up to six internal pedal effects at any given time, (even alongside 3 external pedals) the MS-3 grants an unprecedented management of your tones all in one place. With 111 onboard effects, a built-in tuner and noise suppressor, you can experience a full rig in one comfortably compact and lightweight device. A selection of durable and roadworthy footswitches grace the panel of the MS3, providing the user with a comprehensive control of their entire system. An illuminated backlight displays the patch and bank numbers of your parameters whilst also acting as an insightful overview of the editing process, allowing you to completely immerse yourself without distraction. With up to 200 patch locations, the memory on the MS-3 is more than impressive. Create and recall your favourite patches at the press of a switch, or save your most treasured creations for later. Featuring the MS-3 Editor/Librarian Software you can also edit, assign, set tempos and a back-up your patches to your computer and rearrange into a 'live set' to be deployed at your next performance.
