Fender appoints new CEO
The musical instrument company is to be run by Larry Thomas from the start of next month (August 1st 2010), following the retirement of outgoing CEO Bill Mendello.
Mr Thomas has worked in the music industry for around 40 years and has previously been the CEO and chairman of the Guitar Center company.
"It is an incredible honour and responsibility to be chosen to lead Fender," he said.
"I look forward to contributing to future success while growing the company's powerful musical legacy."
Among the musicians to praise the instrument was Blur's Graham Coxon, who said one of its key strengths is the versatility it has in the way it can be made to sound.Posted on 8 Jul 2010 14:00 to category : Instruments News
