Famous nicknamed electric guitars noted by Gibson
According to the company, many notable musicians have chosen to grace their electric guitars with affectionate monikers.
Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day was also identified as another guitarist to award a pet name to his instrument, as he owns a Les Paul Junior known as "Floyd".
Meanwhile, Rory Gallagher was noted for famously refusing to give his battered Fender Stratocaster a name.
The Irish guitarist, who passed away in 1995, decided this was in keeping with its worn appearance and lack of an external finish.
