Ex-Oasis bass player 'to switch to lead guitar'

Bass guitar player Andy Bell may play electric guitar instead in Liam Gallagher's new band, according to reports.
The former Oasis vocalist is continuing to record with his bandmates following last year's split with Noel Gallagher, although it is understood the group will go out under a new name.
However, the News of the World has reported that Bell could take over on lead guitar, with Louise Davies becoming the new bassist.
A source told the newspaper: "He's really excited about the new-look band and the possibility of having a woman like Louise join the ranks."
The insider added that Liam is very keen to get new music in the public domain as soon as possible.
This comes shortly after Liam revealed that the new album could have more energy and freshness than his previous recordings.
However, he insisted that it would not mark a radical change in musical direction and would stick to his established rock roots.
