Electro Harmonix Launch Battalion Bass Preamp Pedal
Despite its size, the pedal is deceptively comprehensive and features a four-band equaliser, fully-featured MOSFET distortion section and three separate signal path options. The four-band EQ section consists of a bass, lo Mid, hi-Mid and treble section, giving you complete control over the direction in which you wish to steer your bass tone.
The completely independent distortion section is equipped with even more parameters, furthering the potential for a completely customisable tone. Within this distortion section, you are provided with three differing signal flow modes that determine which specific part of the signal chain is affected by the distortion. These switchable modes are Pre EQ, Post EQ and dry EQ. Each mode has been individually assigned with optimising particular arrangements, meaning that no matter the set-up you are guaranteed to find an option best suited to you.
The pedal's compressor is activated by the help of a pushbutton that also includes a level control and indicatory blue LED. Forever versatile, EHX has created their pedal to suit varying pickup load outs, both active and passive. The pedal which is simplistic in its very nature, extends its practicality even further. The pedal's Gate Knob allows you to physically alter the threshold for the noise gate, giving you a more accurate basis for dialling in a tone than ever before.
