Dizzee Rascal learns to play the drum kit
The rapper, who is best known for hits including Dance Wiv Me, Bonkers, Stand Up Tall and I Luv You, is currently gearing up to perform at this year's BBC Electric Proms in London.
However, he has revealed that during rehearsals for the gig, he decided to venture behind the drum kit and try to hold down a beat for himself.
Speaking to the Sun, Dizzee said that although he was just messing about, he found he was actually "quite good" at drumming.
"I work with beats all the time so it comes quite naturally to me," he commented.
"We'll see how good I get but I might surprise everyone at the gig."
Dizzee will be headlining the BBC Electric Proms at The Roundhouse in Camden next month, where he will be sure to treat fans to songs from his new album Tongue N' Cheek.Posted on 21 Sep 2009 14:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
