Blue Microphones debut the Mikey 2G Mic for iPod
Blue Microphones have released the Mikey 2G iPod mic - an updated version of their popular pocket-sized iPod and iPhone mic attachment.
The Blue Mikey 2G now features a 3.5mm line-in socket for direct recording of instruments and other sound sources.
In addition, the second generation Mikey features a 230° range of adjustability, seven different detent positions and a soft carry pouch for protection.
Equipped with a pair of custom-tuned Blue mic capsules, the Mikey 2G offers even better professional-quality stereo recording than the original.
The Mikey 2G also sports an improved acoustic circuit, which aims to provide higher-resolution audio capture when recording high-volume sources.
Blue are renowned for their innovation within the recording world, the second generation Mikey is no exception, as John Maier, CEO of Blue Microphones explains:
"The second generation Mikey is a natural next step for Blue as we continue to expand our consumer audio line to include enhanced portable recording."
Blue have also introduced Blue Fire, a new recording app for the iPhone and iPod Touch which is available from the iTunes app store.
