Blondie signed electric guitar to be auctioned

An electric guitar by Blondie is to go under the hammer for charity.
Great deals on musical instruments
An electric guitar signed by Blondie singer Debbie Harry is to be auctioned next month to raise money for charity.

The electric guitar, along with other instruments signed by notable musicians, will be put up for sale on Ebay at the beginning of November.

Organised by Kendall Calling Festival, all money generated by the hospital will go to a number of charities including WWF, Tiger Awareness, NSPCC, Cancer Research and Sue Ryder North West.

Other signed instruments include an acoustic guitar signed by The Cribs, The Levellers, Frank Turner, Maverick Sabre, Craig Charles, The Whip and Charlie Veitch.

All of the stars recently played an intimate gig at the Kendall Callin Festival, with acoustic sounds coming from all of the major artists on the bill.

Blondie first stormed into public consciousness in the mid-70s and were one of the forerunners of the US New Wave music scene and punk pop.

After reforming in 1997, they once again stormed to the top of the hits with the hit Maria, now seen as one of their classic songs.
