Billy Bragg defends Guitar Hero
However, Bragg does not believe this is the case, as the game helped his son master the rudiments of playing an electric guitar.
Speaking to the Independent, he stated that it built his confidence to such a point that he was able to make a "recognisable sound" the first time he plugged in.
Bragg said this was partly because the game taught him how to strum with one hand while making chord shapes with the other hand at the same time.
"Let's not complain about a game that gives them the rudimentary skills needed to learn to how to play guitar," he added.
Bill Wyman has not been the only veteran musician to criticise Rock Band and Guitar Hero, as Nick Mason of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page have also expressed concerns regarding the games.Posted on 11 Sep 2009 14:00 to category : Instruments News
