BOSS Launches the WL Compact Wireless Systems

The BOSS WL-20, WL-20L and WL-50 are brand-new wireless systems designed for guitar, acoustic guitar and other line-level instruments. Say goodbye to messy, restrictive cables with the simple-to-use BOSS WL system.

BOSS has just launched its brand-new range of wireless systems for guitar and other instruments. The range of WL wireless systems is designed to be incredibly simple to use, yet offers studio-quality sound - freeing you from the tether of a standard guitar cable with zero noticeable loss of tone or feel.

BOSS WL Wireless Systems

Each BOSS WL system features the latest BOSS-developed wireless technology. A super-fast transmission and receiver ensures minimal latency while the built-in lithium-ion batteries provides up to 12 hours of battery life from a single charge.

The transmitter and receiver are designed to slot together to be charged with a single USB cable and can be plugged directly into your guitar and amp for zero-fuss setup. Two of the systems also include a 'virtual cable' with a top-end roll-off that simulates the natural response of using a guitar cable.

The BOSS WL-20 and WL-20L both feature a single transmitter and receiver with no bulky aerials, while the WL-50 features a pedal-format receiver that will fit perfectly on your pedalboard.

If you're looking to free yourself from the restrictions of a traditional guitar cable, the BOSS WL wireless systems are the perfect solution, with their easy-to-use, rechargeable, and high-fidelity design. The WL systems can also make sound-checking a breeze, letting you step off the stage and hear your guitar exactly how your audience hears it. The WL systems are the perfect cable-free solution for playing with friends, recording in the studio and playing live.

The WL-20 features a cable-tone simulation which replicates the natural feel and sound of using a 3m/10ft guitar cable, so you'll notice no difference in your playing - other than your new-found freedom. This system is ideal for guitars with passive pickups.

The BOSS WL-20 features a compact transmitter and receiver which connect directly to your guitar and amp, giving you a truly plug-and-play wireless setup with zero fuss. Studio-quality audio transmission means you'll have no loss of tone or feel, while a 12-hour battery life means you'll have plenty of playing time for long gigs and rehearsals.

The BOSS WL-20L is almost exactly the same as the WL-20 above, but it features no cable-tone simulation. This makes it perfect for guitars with active pickups, acoustic guitars with a preamp, or with any other line-level instrument such as a keytar. You'll still have the same 12-hour battery life, studio-quality sound, premium digital transmission with negligible latency, and simple plug-and-play operation and charging.

The BOSS WL-50 features the same transmitter as the WL-20; perfect for all guitars and line-level instruments. The receiver unit, however, is a pedal-sized device that is designed to sit perfectly on your pedalboard.

The receiver allows you to dock the transmitter for easy charging and connection. The receiver also features the ability to be battery powered, offering up to 10 hours of operation with 2 x AA batteries. This makes it ideal for street performances and buskers, letting you concentrate on your outdoor performance without worrying about where you're stood!

The WL-50's cable-tone technology simulates the sound and feel of using a standard guitar cable with three modes for short/long/off. The receiver can also act as a power distributor when used with a daisy-chain power cable.

These three new units offer guitarists and musicians a very simple way of creating a wireless setup. Having been developed by BOSS, the leading manufacturer of guitar and bass effects, you can be sure that the WL range of products will offer a completely professional performance.
