And while they might share some similarities, the G3 has lots more to offer that makes it worth investing in.<\/p>\n<p>For a start, each model of the G3 series has <strong>larger subwoofers\u00a0<\/strong>meaning that the bass is improved and much <strong>deeper<\/strong>. This, along with a new acoustic design for the sub and an optimised ellipsoidal bass-reflex port, means that each G3 model can produce lower frequencies than their G2 counterpart.<\/p>\n<p>The G3 series has also introduced new midrange phase plugs. This has <strong>increased the speaker&#8217;s sensitivity<\/strong> below the crossover point and also results in\u00a0<strong>fewer harmonic distortions<\/strong> than the G2 series.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, on top of the sonic improvements, the G3 series has been designed for both more <strong>elegance and endurance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It has achieved this with a column plug-in system that has been newly developed for <strong>improved stability<\/strong>. This is particularly ideal for DJs who don&#8217;t need many inputs and don&#8217;t want to be faffing around with a complicated setup when getting ready to spin some tunes.<\/p>\n<p>The rear panel has controls for the main volume and subwoofer volume, so you can mix them independently. There are also controls for Bluetooth 5.0 streaming &#8211; great for playing music between sets if you&#8217;re a musician. These offer different speaker sizes, power ratings, and overall SPL levels, depending on your individual needs.<\/p><p>The\u00a0<strong>MAUI 11 G3<\/strong> uses two 8\" subwoofers, six 3.5\" mid-woofers, and two 1\" tweeters on a waveguide.<\/p><p>These are powered by a built-in amplifier for a 1460 W peak, resulting in a 125 dB max SPL.<\/p><p>The\u00a0<strong>MAUI 28 G3<\/strong> uses a single 12\" subwoofer, twelve 3.5\" mid-woofers, and two 1\" tweeters on a waveguide.<\/p><p>These are powered by a built-in amplifier for a 2060 W peak, resulting in a 127 dB max SPL.<\/p><p>These are the main ways in which these two systems differ, but apart from this, they share all their other features.<\/p><hr \/><h3>Make sure you're heard: constant horizontal directivity<\/h3><p>Each MAUI G3 PA system's column is designed for\u00a0<strong>wide horizontal directivity<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>tight and focused vertical directivity<\/strong>.<\/p><p>This is achieved thanks to the new\u00a0<strong>optimised midrange phase plugs<\/strong> and the\u00a0<strong>curved wave guide<\/strong> for the tweeters. The result is a\u00a0<strong>120 x 30<\/strong>\u00b0 directivity - so even audience members at the far side of the room can hear what's going on.<\/p><hr \/><h3>More bass? No problem.<\/h3><p><img class=\"size-medium wp-image-25011 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/stateless-blog-g4m-co-uk\/2023\/04\/LD-Systems-MAUI-G3-Column-PA-System-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"LD Systems MAUI G3 Column PA System\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/>If you want to improve the low-end response of your MAUI G3 system, LD Systems have made it easy to do so.<\/p><p>You can simply add another MAUI G3 subwoofer, and link it to your main sub as a \"follower\" sub.<\/p><p>The subwoofer will automatically detect if it's in follower mode when you remove the column from it.<\/p><p>This can give you a +6dB increase in low-end response: ideal for outdoor settings or bigger rooms.<\/p><p>You can also use this feature to add more power to the front in <strong>cardioid mode, <\/strong>which allows you to use an additional sub to direct more power frontwards and reduce the amount of noise behind.<\/p><p>This is ideal if you need a cleaner sound on stage for less feedback and can result in overall better sound quality thanks to fewer reflections from the walls.<\/p><hr \/><h3>Ease-of-use is a priority<\/h3><p>LD Systems have stripped back the G3's user interface to make it as headache-free as possible to operate. This is particularly ideal for DJs who don't need many inputs and don't want to be faffing around with a complicated setup when getting ready to spin some tunes.<\/p><p>The rear panel has controls for the main volume and subwoofer volume, so you can mix them independently. There are also controls for Bluetooth 5.0 streaming - great for playing music between sets if you're a musician.
