NAMM 2024: AlphaTheta Change the Game With Their First Speaker and DJ Unit

25/01/2024

Pioneer DJ’s parent company and now-sister brand, AlphaTheta have made waves this week, not least because of the announcement of the brand itself.

As a corporation covering brands like Serato and Pioneer DJ, AlphaTheta have a wealth of experience in the DJ industry and are trusted by DJs worldwide. They’ve paved the way for DJs, both beginners and professionals and so the launch of an exclusive AlphaTheta brand is certainly very exciting.

Their goal is to continue to innovate and expand the landscape of DJ gear, using AI and wireless technologies to ensure their products stay up-to-date and relevant in the modern world. They also aim to create energy-efficient gear that’s lightweight and portable.

Now, for NAMM 2024, the new brand have released their first products under the name AlphaTheta: the WAVE-EIGHT Wireless Active Loud Speaker and the OMNIS-DUP Wireless All-In-One DJ System. With their wireless technology, these new products are seriously upping the game when it comes to flexible, convenient setups.

AlphaTheta WAVE-EIGHT Wireless Active Loud Speaker

AlphaTheta WAVE-EIGHT Wireless Active Loud Speaker, SingleThe best and most exciting feature of the WAVE-EIGHT is its SonicLink technology. This enables you to have a wireless setup when you’re DJing, free of sound delays.

With ultra-low latency, it transmits audio much faster than Bluetooth, so you can mix at your decks and hear the track coming through the speakers immediately.

The SonicLink connection also allows you to link more units to the speaker, perfect for large venues. And to optimise your setup for the setting you’re in and the number of speakers or subwoofers you have, you can choose from Mono, Stereo, and Subwoofer modes.

Within the speaker is an efficient Class D amplifier and 8-inch driver, delivering extremely clear sound. A Vortex Bass Accelerator then ensures you have supremely powerful bass. Whether you’re throwing a huge outdoor party or just having a mix with friends, the speaker’s versatility and full-bodied sound make it suitable.

But it’s not just the wireless connectivity that gives the speaker its portability. It also has a battery life of eight hours, a waterproof construction with an IPX4 rating, and an extendable handle, casters, and additional grab handles. Plus, there’s a USB Type-C port and a pole socket built in.

AlphaTheta OMNIS-DUO Wireless All-In-One DJ System

AlphaTheta OMNIS-DUO Wireless All-In-One DJ SystemCombine this DJ system with the WAVE-EIGHT speaker and you have a completely wireless, portable setup. It’s a serious game-changer!

The system, with a finish that’s “inspired by denim jeans”, is compact and lightweight, ideal for carrying in a backpack or the dedicated carry bag.

It has that familiar two-deck and mixer layout with a touchscreen in the middle that can be set to Light or Dark mode depending on your environment; it’s these well-considered details that make all the difference!

As well as a built-in battery with a life of five hours, Bluetooth connectivity, and the ability to connect to the WAVE-EIGHT speaker, the OMNIS-DUO has a professional XLR output and RCA terminals for a more traditional setup.

Plus, thanks to the Bluetooth input function, friends can drop songs into the mix and, even better, you can then control the audio on the deck via the industry-first Bluetooth Playback function.

It’s ideal for taking to parties or having casual mixes with friends. And courtesy of its range of support for multiple music sources, you really can DJ anytime, anywhere.
