The Radikal Technologies RT-451 Stereo Multimode Filter provides three classic modes of filtration. You can toggle between the three using the retro-style switches. The module offers Lowpass, highpass and bandpass filters. The 12dB filters provides resonance settings that range up to self-oscillation, ideal for experimenting with sound.
At the heart of the module is a Spectralis Multimode Filter. You can then use the switchable settings or the various parameters to dial in your desired sound. The result is vintage-style low resonance and cutting-edge high resonance tones The RT-451 is capable is creating exceptional low-end rumble, making it ideal for EDM, dubstep, drum and bass and other bass-orientated music. It can be applied to a wide variety of audio sources, especially bringing out the best from kicks and sub-bass.
The dual channel design features two separate filter circuits. The parameters on each channel are totally separate, allowing you to use each channel independently of each other. The large retro-style potentiometers allow you dial in your settings with optimal precision.
As well as being able to use the two section separately, you can couple the parameter control together. Using the oversized potentiometer labelled ‘coupler’ you can blend between the two filters for unique results.
The wide range of patch points makes the RT-451 perfect for filtering audio sources and other synth modules. The wide range of patch points provide CV connectivity, including dual inputs and outputs. Also included is a CV connection for controlling the Q, with a dedicated potentiometer. Also included is two other CV connections accompanied by their own potentiometers.
