The X-Plosion Crash has an immediate attack and a bright, lively sound. The smaller of the two, it produces a brighter tone with less sustain and a shorter decay. Still on the larger side, you can also expect a wide dynamic range with huge projection.
Sabian AAX 19'' X-Plosion Crash Cymbal
The 19'' X-Plosion Crash has a brighter sound than the Fast Crash edition, giving you more cut in the mix. The medium - thin weight provides the perfect balance between projection, responsiveness and decay. The larger diameter makes it big enough to ride on, with crystal clear stick-definition. It doesn't open up as easily as the smaller models, but still responds easily, delivering a huge, musical sound with an incredibly smooth decay.
