Zoom has revealed the latest innovative technology within the guitar playing world with the launch of an effects pedal that can be controlled via a smartphone.

The new MultiStomp MS-100BT brings together Bluetooth technology and the stompbox-style that comes with any Zoom device giving guitarists a much different sound while either in the studio or at a live show.

Officials at Zoom describe the device as the most advanced pedal that the company has produced combining the power and flexibility of the tool with the wireless capabilities that come with Bluetooth technology.

Those that purchase this pedal will also be able to download a free Stompshare app from the Apple store, which is compatible on iOS devices, which opens the musician to new sounds which allows them to sample, purchase and download additional effects for their needs.

These sounds will then be transferred to the pedal allowing them a new sound and previously not thought of tone for performances and recording.

The move comes after Gibson recently announced the launch of the Min-Etune which automatically tunes the guitar from a device which is attached to the headstock of the axe.
