Zildjian launches online cymbals library
Its Gen16 Digital Vault programme offers a range of high-resolution acoustic samples of the Zildjian reference cymbals range.
The sounds were recorded by percussion sampling expert John Emrich after being selected by Zildjian's master cymbal tester Paul Francis, reports MI-Pro.
Craigie Zildjian, the manufacturer's chief executive officer, said: "The Gen16 Digital Vault is truly the most unique and powerful cymbal library ever created and a must-have for any serious sample library."
Its Digital Vault hub already includes drum and percussion tracks recorded by such artists as Michael White and Dave DiCenso.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Zildjian will be teaming up with drummer Steve Gadd for a series of workshops across Europe.
The tour will include an appearance at the London Drum Show, as well as stop-offs in Manchester, Reading and Edinburgh.
