ZZ Top rocker 'obsessed with electric guitars'

According to the ZZ Top rocker, the instruments are his "raison d'etre" and his "greatest passion".
Speaking to MusicRadar, he said he considers himself extremely lucky to be able to indulge in his hobby and get paid for it.
"They say if you can make a living doing what you love, then you're a fortunate man," he commented.
"It goes without saying that I am truly blessed."
He added that one of the highlights of his time as a musician came early in his career when his band supported Jimi Hendrix, who was apparently very impressed with his electric guitar playing.
Indeed, Gibbons stated that Hendrix said "wonderful things" about his playing and believed he was the best young guitarist in the US at the time.
Gibbons is currently on tour in the US with bandmates Dusty Hill and Frank Beard, appearing on the bill with fellow rockers Aerosmith.
