Yamaha release the S90-XS keyboard synthesizer

A recent addition to Yamaha's top end keyboard synthesizers is the S90-XS.
With a higher price tag on this 88 note keyboard, we take a look at what the S90-XS has to offer.
The S90-XS is part of the S series within which the S70-XS also lies, and features all the Voices, Performances, arpeggiators and Virtual Circuit Modeling effects found on the Motif XS.
Yamaha have also added 142MB worth of high-quality piano waveforms (including samples taken from the S6 grand piano).
Yamaha have worked hard to create a keyboard that inspires and stimulates the live performer through the S90-XS.
This new keyboard comes with a very user-friendly Performance Creator feature, essentially allowing ultra-fast selection of a Voice, Layer and Splits with minimal effort.
The S90-XS also acts as a fantastic midi controller for your home studio, and comes with a DAW Remote function.
This essentially allowing you to control your main DAW software and VST instruments via the panel controls.
As Yamaha describe it on their own website, "the new S Series combines the sounds of the motif XS, a handcrafted S6 piano and the ease of use of a stage piano."
If you're after professional tone, feel and performance from a keyboard synthesizer, then the S90-XS should definitely be on your list of keyboards to check out.
