Yamaha claims accolade at MIPA Awards 2013
The award ceremony celebrates the very best musical instruments within the industry and a number of high profile companies claimed top honours. The international Musical Instrument press selected the very best for players to pick up in the sector.
It formed part of this year's Musikmesse event in Frankfurt with editors from 117 magazines evaluating entries for over 40 categories including bass, guitar, drums, keyboards and studio equipment.
Alongside the Yamaha THR10, other notable winners included the Kemper Profiling Amp scoring the title of Best Innovative Product beating off competition from the likes of the Peavey AT-200 auto-tuning guitar and the TC Electronic TonePrint pedals.
Tama Star Drums landed the honour of Best Acoustic Drums while Taylor's Grand Orchestra was named as Best Acoustic Guitar.
Musikmesse 2013 proved a major success with the German show attracting 113,000 people for all over the world during the weekend.
