Yamaha announces 'best violin yet'

Yamaha has proclaimed that its new YVN500 acoustic violin is its best model to date.
He dubbed the instrument "our best ever acoustic violin", adding that he believes it typifies the company's "dedication to quality" that helps it to stand out from other manufacturers.
The YVN500 is available in two designs, Guarneri del Gesu and Stradivarius.
Developed with the help of renowned soloist Pinchas Zukerman and violin professor Zakhar Bron, the instrument is meant to be highly responsive to expression and is capable of producing a solid and bright sound.
The YVN500 is one of a number of new releases from Yamaha in recent weeks. Last month, the company launched the YSL891Z Jazz Trombone at the Musikmesse exhibition in Frankfurt.
