With a backdrop of Moscow's Red Square, a crowd 10,000 strong, music, and 50,000-pounds-worth of fireworks, the Brentwood Imperial Youth Band (UK) featuring Bretton Watt and his Yamaha YTR4335GII Trumpet from Gear4music made a great impression at the Spasskaya Tower Festival in Moscow - Russia's equivalent of the Edinburgh Tattoo.

From the Gear4music warehouse five days earlier, the trumpet was delivered to Bretton's house in the UK before making its way to Moscow's Red Square - a journey of almost 2,000 miles for this special occasion.

The event was also televised to an audience of 50 million people. Here, the 72-person-strong group performed at the final two shows on their own before being joined by 40 other bands from around the globe in a spectacular grand finale of 1,500 musicians.

With an average age of just 14-years-old the Brentford-based group is considered as one of the premier marching bands in the UK and have performed around the world. This reputation had earned them their place at this prestigious Russian event in 2015.

11-year-old Bretton Watt has been in the band for just 9 months.

His father Peter said: "My son already owned a student model Yamaha trumpet, but for the world stage we thought he deserved something a little better hence we purchased the YTR4335 from yourselves just a few days before they flew out. It was a wonderful experience for the children to play on such a world stage in front of such a huge audience, and fly the flag for Britain."

The band could also be playing at the Rose Bowl, Pasadena, California next year.
