The Malvern Theatres site will host the next part of the Yamaha International Piano Series in March.

Concert pianist Jean Efflam-Bavouzet is to take to the stage on March 11th, to perform a programme of works from composers such as Wagner, Debussy, Liszt and Beethoven.

The Frenchman will make use of the new Yamaha CFX concert grand piano, which has been praised by musicians across the globe for its power and tonal excellence.

Mike Ketley, a spokesman for Yamaha, said: "We are proud that these recitals allow us to continue to present some of the world's finest pianists in an idyllic setting whilst reinforcing the quality and musicality of our concert instruments."

Prices for Efflan-Bavouzet's recital start from £13.00, with his performance scheduled to get underway at 19:30 GMT.

The series will continue on April 1st, when Stephen Hough pays a visit to Malvern Theatres in order to show off his skills on the piano.

Malvern Theatres, which underwent a £7.2 million refurbishment a decade ago, is comprised of three auditoria, with the Festival Theatre site able to hold an audience of 800 people.
