Yamaha FG730S named top budget acoustic guitar

The Yamaha FG730S has come top of a survey to identify the best budget acoustic guitar.
Acoustic guitars from brands including Fender and Epiphone made it into the top ten, but it was the Yamaha FG730S that secured the most votes.
MusicRadar praised the instrument for providing "classic cosmetics" and lots of top end when required.
"The FG730S's acoustics tick all of the required boxes with aplomb," it commented.
However, MusicRadar noted that since the top ten was based on reader recommendations, every single acoustic guitar merits its place in the list.
The website added that people who are shopping on a budget should find each guitar worthy of consideration.
This comes after Gibson recommended that acoustic guitar buyers look beyond the aesthetic merits of an instrument and ensure it meets their sonic needs as well.
