Yamaha DTX950 electronic drum kit 'is incredibly silent'
Posted on 27 Aug 2010 11:13 to category : Instruments News

Professional musician Andy Fisenden has praised the Yamaha DTX950 electronic drum kit for its quiet nature and overall playing abilities.
The Australian has worked with the likes of the Sugababes, Tinchy Stryder and Professor Green in the past, winning a number of drumming awards over the course of his career.
Speaking to the Yamaha website after trying out the DTX950 drums for the first time, Fisenden said: "One of the first things that jumps straight at you is it's incredibly silent; it's the quietest electronic pad that I've ever played and they are pretty weighty."
He added that the electronic drum kit also impressed him in terms of its "really natural" response when being played.
The musician is to feature on a set of downloadable videos that are to go on the Yamaha website and take viewers through the possibilities of the DTX950 drums.
Fisenden will also be appearing at the Yamaha stand at the forthcoming London Drum Show, which is taking place at the Olympia on September 4th and 5th 2010.
