X Factor fix claims over Amelia Lily
The latest controversy to come out is centred on the allegation that bosses of the X Factor are trying to fix the outcome of the show so that they get the winner they want.
It comes after HMV had listed Amelia Lily, one of the finalists who returned to the show in spectacular fashion after Frankie Cocozza was booted out, as the artist with the winner's single.
Although it has since been removed, the fallout has been dramatic after fans discussed online the implications of there being no such listings for Marcus Collins and Little Mix.
This has been further exacerbated by the fact a new M&S advert, which features the contestant's version of Wishing On A Star, seems to heavily feature Lily more so than any of the other contestants.
However, X Factor bosses have been quick to respond to the public outcry.
Caren Davis, head of publicity for The X Factor, came out and said: "This is absolutely nothing to do with The X Factor, HMV have admitted this was due to a technical error on their site."
