World's First Inflatable Mobile Arena Created

The huge inflatable structure can seat 500 people and only takes 2 hours to fully inflate.

Designers created the innovative concert hall so that it is able to tour regions of Japan affected by the 2011 eartchquake and tsunami.

Holding concerts ranging from orchestral to jazz, as well as theatre and dance performances, the Ark Nova, meaning New Ark, can be deflated and transported on the back of a lorry.

18 metres high, the mobile venue is made from a plastic membrane which stretches for quick inflation and dismantling. It will be used to host the upcoming Lucerne Festival.
