Wolfmother star plays on Slash solo album
Electric guitar player Slash has added Wolfmother singer Andrew Stockdale to the growing roster of musicians on his solo album.
The former Guns N' Roses star is preparing to release a record called Slash and Friends early next year.
Artists such as Dave Grohl, Jason Bonham and Ozzy Osbourne have been among the music luminaries to contribute to the album, along with Fergie, Iggy Pop and Ronnie Wood.
Stockdale described working with Slash as an honour and called the Gibson Les Paul player an "iconic figure" in rock 'n' roll history.
"Guns N' Roses in the 90s - they brought back in the danger in rock 'n' roll," he commented.
No title for the track on which they collaborated has yet been disclosed, although Stockdale has revealed that the song is "relentless".
Following his split with the band, Slash went on to found Velvet Revolver, which is currently without a singer following Scott Weiland's recent departure.Posted on 21 Oct 2009 11:58 to category : Band / Celebrity News
