Will.i.am explains how he got Mick Jagger on track
The Black Eyed Peas' singer-songwriter was asked by his record label who he wanted featured on his new track THE (The Hardest Ever), and because he didn't want anyone on it, he said for a joke, "Get me Jagger".
Speaking to Rolling Stone, he said: "I went to play material for the label and [label boss] Jimmy Iovine's like, 'Yo, this is dope. Who are you gonna put on it?' I'm like, 'What are you talking about? It's finished, it's me'. So, he's like, 'Oh, you don't feature no-one?'"
Not expecting anything to come of it, Will.i.am got the shock of his life when Jagger agreed to the guest spot.
Jennifer Lopez has also contributed her vocals to the track, which is said to be a great pop tune.
The song will feature on Will.i.am's new album #willpower, which is scheduled to come out early next year.
Everyone is waiting with bated breath about whether the Rolling Stones will get back together to celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2012.
