Weezer to rerelease Pinkerton
Posted on 27 Apr 2010 09:23 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Indie band Weezer are to rerelease their 1996 album Pinkerton in a new expanded format, as well as bringing out a collection of B-sides and rarities.
No release date has yet been confirmed for the records, but pre-orders are being taken for the Pinkerton update and the B-sides album is scheduled to come out before the end of 2010.
Speaking to Billboard magazine, Scott Shriner, Weezer's bass guitar player, said he was especially excited about the forthcoming release of the latter record.
"There's so many cool things that we've recorded for records that never made the [albums], I think they had to get out there," he said.
"Finally it's going to happen."
The bass guitar player added that the band are also working on new material and that one new song will be heard on the forthcoming Shrek Forever After film.
Weezer are set to play at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals, as part of a bill that also includes Blink 182, Arcade Fire and Guns N' Roses.
