Waldorf have announced the release of their first iPad app, Nave.

The new app features two wavetable oscillators with a sound existing Waldorf users will recognise, a lowpass, bandpass and highpass filter with either a 12dB or 24dB slope.

These novel oscillators feature alongside more extended functions such as the Uberwave module that uses up to 8 extra virtual analog oscillators to fatten your sound.

Highly-acclaimed sound designers including Richard Devine and Sacha Dikiciyan from Sonic Mayhem, helped to create over 500 presets, giving Nave a deep and inspiring quality.

Waldorf say, "We are proud that we were able to inspire some highly acclaimed sound designers who, by supplying their personality, know-how and enthusiam, contributed significantly to the new and exciting sound of Nave".

The impressive iOS synthesizer uses a touchpad keyboard for control, but can also be played using 'blades', allowing for dynamic triggering by sliding your fingers across the iPad.

Use the modulation matrix with real-time controls to animate sounds in any direction, and sketch your music and build your own songs using the 4-track recorder.

Until June 18th, Nave is available at a reduced price at the App Store.
