Violin orchestra helps young people
The Coda Fiddle Orchestra works with children living in deprived areas, using music as an engagement tool, reported the BBC.
It receives valuable funding from Children in Need. Last year it received a massive £11,000, which will last the violin orchestra three years.
The orchestra is aimed at children and young people aged between five and 18 who ordinarily don't have access to musical instruments or music education.
Chief executive Phil Hallett told the BBC: "It gives them a musical education and improves their broader learning.
"It's amazing because it's allowed us to plan from year to year. This year we've tried to focus on expanding the number of performances."
Members of the orchestra are loaned a violin so they can put in essential practice work outside of the group sessions, which helps them develop their skills much faster.
Elsewhere a precocious 17-year-old violin player has wowed audience members with his unbelievable skills.
Chad Hoopes' mastery of the musical instrument has astonished people as he exudes the skills of a seasoned performer twice his age, reported Cincinnati.com.
