Vest That Allows Deaf People to Feel the Sensation of Music Debuted at Lady Gaga Show
Not Impossible have endeavoured to deliver life changing opportunities to those who experience often restricting and debilitating health problems since 2009. They have engaged in a number of different projects that have successfully resulted in the rehabilitation and overall satisfaction of individuals the world over. In regards to their latest venture, Not Impossible Labs CEO and founder Mick Ebeling made the succinct but eloquent statement relating to the importance of music to society as a whole:"Music is not about hearing or non-hearing, it's about inclusion,".
For those who are deaf, utilising vibrations as a method to relay the effects of music to the individual has been a fundamental practice. Previously, this kind of technology has fallen short due to insufficient volume at shows, meaning that the sensations are either poorly translated or not at all.
With MNI, the mission is to enhance the music regardless of hearing capability, allowing the individual to indulge in a completely immersive concert experience.
The vibrations experienced by the individuals are intended to replicate the musical instruments played on stage, with drums and percussion being transferred to an ankle bracelet and the guitar and piano being transferred to a wrist band receptor. Vocals are located in the rib cage and bass is felt upon the individuals lower back and spine.
Earlier in the year Not Impossible Labs introduced the vest during SXSW at the Bud Light Factory. Since its original unveiling the team gave made significant developments to the products original design, technology and overall appearance.
Music:Not Impossible vests are aiming to offered on a specific venue and artist basis.
