VIP Music Software, the creator of its Virtual Instrument Player (VIP) software - the only software that enables musicians to catalog, control and map their entire VST instrument library directly from their keyboard - today announced that they've introduced a new version of their software, VIP 1.1. A new website devoted entirely to the operation and use of their software has also been launched.

VIP is bundled with a variety of keyboard brands including the Akai Professional Advance series; 25, 49 and 61 key versions respectively. The Alesis VX49 is another product that works well with VIP.

New features include new plug-in maps for Omnisphere 2, auto patch loading, chords on pads, plug-in manager, multi-core rendering and auto-tagging on import.

VIP works as a stand-alone application or VST, AAX or AU plugi-n for any DAW like Cubase, Pro Tools, PreSonus Studio One and more.

Users can control plugins and extend the capabilities of how the user can create and play several patches from one or more plug-ins. In this mode, the hardware pads and controllers become performance controls allowing instant access to solo, mute, pan and mix the numerous patches, known as 'multis'.

Setlists can also be created for quick and easy access to your favourite settings for live performances.
