Universal Audio UAD-2 backed by Bernard Butler
Former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler has praised the Universal Audio UAD-2.
"I really like the UAD-2. I'm using it on pretty much everything now," Butler explained.
"There are particular favourites, so I've got something like eight or nine plugins that I use all the time."
He revealed the one he enjoys using most is the EMT-140 plate, thanks to its excellent reverb.
Butler also praised the Fairchild plugin provided on the music software, describing its sound as "amazing".
He went on to claim that it is "the best Fairchild emulation out there" in his opinion.
The star has a host of production credits to his name, having worked with the likes of Fyfe Dangerfield, The Cribs, 1990s and Sons & Daughters in the past.
As a member of Rough Trade's producer management team, he has also helped the likes of Edwyn Collins, Sharleen Spiteri and Cajun Dance Party in the studio over the course of his career.
