Unheard Hendrix recordings to be released
Posted on 12 Jan 2010 16:15 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Unreleased tracks by electric guitar legend Jimi Hendrix are to be made available in March 2010.
The Fender Stratocaster player is widely regarded as one of the best guitarists in rock history, but his career was cut short when he died in 1970 at the age of 27.
However, Hendrix recorded a number of tracks which have still never seen the light of day, and 12 are to be made available on a brand new album.
Valleys of Neptune features the original line-up of The Jimi Hendrix Experience in what turned out to be their final studio sessions.
Janie Hendrix, the guitar player's sister, commented: "Jimi was at home in the studio.
"Valleys of Neptune demonstrates the fact that he was as unparalleled a recording innovator as he was a guitarist."
She added that his brilliance "shines through" on every single track.
Janie recently told the Gibson website that plenty of unreleased Hendrix masters still exist, enough to ensure a steady stream of material every 12 to 18 months for the next decade.
