Rick Smith from Underworld talks to Avid
Since 1999, Rick Smith has been using Pro Tools in his studio to create some of the most recognisable electronic music in decades.

Rick talks about inventing the next step as he goes along, using whatever recording implements he can and linking it all together with the solid, reliable Pro Tools.

"It's about home studios, bedroom recording, the DIY do it yourself approach and the amazing facilities like Abbey Road - what links that process is Pro Tools", says Smith.

Sibelius also helps Rick in his writing, translating his music over to a score that can be used by other musicians.

Watch the video as he explains how his music-making has evolved with Avid from working on the Trainspotting soundtrack to the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
