U2 to headline pyramid stage at Glastonbury tonight
Today (June 24th) marks the opening day of the great mud-soaked Glastonbury Festival, which sees Irish rockers U2 headline the main pyramid stage.
The band will be on stage after Morrissey belts out some of his typically melancholic tunes with microphone in hand.
Music fans attending the annual summer festival will be sure to expect something amazing from U2 as the band were forced to cancel last year's scheduled performance after Bono injured his back.
The first day will also see indie outfit Mumford & Sons rocking out their mandolins, hip hop legends Wu Tang Clan dropping hip hop beats on their DJ equipment and the inimitable Primal Scream playing classic hit.
Other acts playing include Fleet Foxes, The Vaccines and Bright Eyes.
Festival-goers are also expected to be watching the clocks closely for the 8pm slot on the Park Stage as "special guests" are due to play.
As to the identity of the special guests, no-one really knows. It has been one of the best guarded secrets at the festival.
One of the new additions to Glastonbury this year is the inclusion of a medieval bullring called Campo Pequeno.
It will be a place where you can, according to the festival organisers, "discover a fuse of Hispanic mayhem and astonishing performance spectacles".
