Travis Barker to release solo album next month
Travis Barker, the musician normally found behind the drum kit in Blink 182, is due to release a solo album next month.
The star has announced that the record, which will be entitled Give The Drummer Some, is to come out on February 22nd.
A host of famous guest stars joined Barker in the studio to make the LP, reports NME.
Among those to contribute were Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, Slipknot singer Corey Taylor and rapper Snoop Dogg.
Electric guitar legend Slash and Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington also make appearances on the album.
Barker also had a role in producing the record, working alongside DJ Khalil and The Neptunes on this task.
The drummer used his Twitter feed earlier today (January 5th) to inform fans that he is currently in Los Angeles wrapping up the final pieces of work on the LP.
At the end of 2010, Barker was honoured by Drum magazine by being named as its best progressive rock drummer of the year, as well as the top punk drummer.
He was shortlisted for the overall Drummer of the Year award, but that accolade went to Neil Peart from Rush.
